New venture consulting
Doug has engaged with a number of new venture entrepreneurs to share the knowledge and experience he has gained in running a high tech, venture-funded company. Consulting has been provided on a variety of subjects such as venture capital financing, capitalization tables, exit options, go-to-market campaigns, competitive strategies, compensation packages, team building and dealing with the unexpected.
Milltech worked on a large scale project to evaluate a number of client-server application options for a large, multi-national organization. Specific tasks included technology assessments, validating the architecture design, costing for the various options being considered and proposal writing. The project involved a distributed Windows and SQL Server-based application with .NET web services integration.
New business expansion
Milltech engaged with a client to help them expand their existing services business into a complementary products business. The engagement dealt with virtually all aspects of getting the new operation to market, including product definition, leading sales and marketing programs and staff training.
